Medicare Supplement (MediGap)
These plans “fill the gap” in your coverage by paying the 20% that Medicare doesn’t pay. There are regular monthly premiums, but few costs after that. Use any medicare provider in the United States who accepts Medicare.
Medicare Advantage Plan
(Part C)
You agree to get all medical care through a private insurance company using their network of providers. Most plans include prescriptions and other benefits not normally included in Medicare.
Prescription Drug Plan
(Part D)
Purchased from a private insurance company, anyone with either Part A or Part B is eligible for Part D. Essential add-on for those with a MediGap plan; sometimes helpful for those with group insurance too.
